option 43 for dhcp server

I need configure catalyst 3750 as a dhcp server for remote installation (RIS) and quit confused with option43. my installation server is a win2003 server, so, how can I get the hex string for option 43?

Any comments will be appreciated

Hi Friend,

I believe you want your DHCP server 3750 to return DHCP option 43 in hex string? If yes use the option command unde DHCP config mode and specify the hex string to be returned using hex keyword.

option code [instance number] {ascii string | hex string | ip address}

Switch(dhcp-config)#option 43 ?

ascii Data is an NVT ASCII string

hex Data is a hexadecimal string

instance Specify the option instance

ip Data is one or more IP addresses
