Packet tracer WLC issue

I am having a problem with the 2504 WLC in packet tracer 7.2.2.0418.  The issue is once I finish the initial setup and the wlc reboots, it never comes back up.  I can't ping it, or connect via web address.  I have verified connectivity before running the setup, and I have tried not changing the management address and leaving it as the default 192.168.1.1.

Hello,

can you post the Packet Tracer project (.pkt) file ? I want to see if this happens on my PC as well...

ZIP the pkt file first, otherwise you cannot upload it...

I created 2 project files.  One before the config reboot and one after.  In the test2, I can't ping or access the wlc anymore.

Hello,

after you hit 'Apply' and the configuration is saved and the WLC reboots, try open the web browser again and type:

https://192.168.30.7

I tried that also, and tried again after your reply.  Didn't work in either the test project or my working project.

Thanks

Hello,

I deleted the cable and reconnected the devices after the reboot, after that the https worked. Can you give that a try ?

Still a no go for me.  Hmm, you encountered the same issue, but were able to resolve it by deleted the ether cable?  I did try, I also tried connecting to other ports on the wlc.

Thanks

Hello,

I tried your original project again. I opened the web browser, finished the initial configuration, applied it, closed the browser, reopened it and typed the https address (make sure you use the IP address you have assigned during the initial configuration).

Thanks, after trying to go through the initial setup again I used vlan 1 in the config instead of the vlan I wanted to use for management. This fixed the issue.

Thanks for helping me brainstorm.

Glad that you got it working for you. I used the default management Vlan as well...

Packet Tracer is a bit quirky at times...

Many thanks for this post. Re-adding it with a VLAN1 address did the trick. Much appreciated for this!

Same issue has been resolved... please check , what management vlan id you were entering in the wlc http.. it should be 0..
