Hi, Guys,
We need help with some recommendation of which Cisco device we should purchase:
Environment:
1, Will be used in Data Center, Racked Mounted
2, 6 Physical Supermicro Servers and Negear NAS connected via Cisco switch
Features we neede:
1, Network Mode: NAT (Not bridge) - We have an range of IP from ISP, and it is directly connected to WAN, so no need ADSL modem module etc.
2, Firewall - Needs to control which port can be open to public
3, VPN - Needs to support Remote Access VPN, so we can dial in Data Center from our office.
4, NetFlow - We will use NetSense to monitor the Server Network Usage to control our Data Center bandwidth
Budget:
up to $1500
Thanks very much!!
Regards,
tim

How many physical servers and what are the downlinks to the servers? Fibre? Copper? 100 Mbps? 1 Gbps? 10 Gbps? 40 Gbps?
Budget:
up to $1500
All of the stuff you listed, including a firewall, and that's the budget? Sorry, but I think there was a type-o and someone forgot to add a number in front of this figure.

Sorry. Didn't know what I am asking is so expensive. In our office, we were
using Cisco 1800 router and that was around $1500. In the other office, we
were using Cisco ASA5505 and that is around $1000. I thought ...
3 physical servers that running Citrix XenServer.
3 Netgear readyNAS 2100.
They are connected via a 24 port Cisco simple switch.
The Citrix XenServer stores virtual systems on ReadyNAS.
All devices are 1gbps. Via network cable, no fibre links.
Thanks for any further advices please.
Thanks a lot.

For that many ports and limited budget you can use this simple small switch.
Have a look:

Hmm...Actually we already have this Switch in place. All Servers are connected to this Switch.
We are looking for a Router which will be placed between Data Centre ISP and the Switch.
The Router should have NAT, Firewall, VPN server for remote access.
Considering this budget, do you think entry level Router such as 1800 or even 800, or ASA5505 can do the job?
Thanks!

As Leo noted, you forgot more 0s to add. Even $15000 would not buy you much unless you get 80% discount. We buy millions of dollars every years from Cisco and still don't get 80% discount.
