No quite sure you should negate MC as a whole as various applications require it but it can be suppressed so it doesn't flood you network.
Igmp snooping can be applied to each vlan which can help control the distribution of MC traffic and not flood your network.
Possibly you could apply some port security to the switchports to limit MC traffic but whatever limit level you apply will also effect broadcast traffic hitting the port.
