Preventive Maintenance /Health Checkup for Cisco Switches & Routers

we are planning to do regular Preventive Maintenance /Health Checkup on our Cisco switches & Routers.

we have following devices:

Switch: C3850,WS-C3560G, Catalyst WS-C6509-E. 

Router: Cisco 2811, Cisco 2911.

we didn't get the proper guidance for this, our aim is to check the hardware status, errors on the device /interface level and more to avoid any issue on future.

If you are planning on a daily basis then I am recommended to use tools such as PRTG/Solerwind and configure SNMP traps for the same.
