Hello, I converted my network from a C350 -24 port to a C9300-48 UXM
With the C350 the WAP 581 run without any problems. On the C9300 I get the following Error Message: NOTE: The 5 GHz radio module was deactivated because the power source is no longer sufficient (802.3af).
I have four WAP 581 Access Points in use.
The WebUI Interface of the C9300 shows me a Consumption of 15.4 W per Port.
The following Values are displayed in the Overview:
Total Power Supports: 525W
Total Power Used: 61.6W
Total Power Available: 463.4W
Solved! Go to Solution.

I found the error, by chance I came across an old post here in the forum where the same error occurred.
The solution is that LLDP must be globally ebabled.
In case anyone runs into this issue. LLDP must be enabled globally on the switch and not just on the interface level. Without that you can't power both radios. Cisco didn't have any information about that in the documentation for this hardware.

C9300-48UXM - switch support PoE and PoE + i see you have enough power available.
The error you getting on Switch or WAP logs ?
what port the WAP connected on the switch ? how is your configuration on the ports ?
what PSU was installed on Cat 9300 ?
12-14-2023 12:00 PM
Hello,
The Error occurs on the WAP Access Ports, the Status LED on the WAP also lights up Blue, which results from the error.
The ports are:
33,34,35 and 36
The power supply is a PWR-C1-1100WAC
built-in.
I once tried to manually increase the PoE wattage on the ports in the C9300, unfortunately this didn't fix the error.

Port Configuration, all for Ports have the same Config
12-14-2023 01:03 PM
can you try different port start from 1-16 and what is the outcome ?
if the PSU 1150 - why it showing -Total Power Supports: 525W , how many PSU installed, what configuration ?
is this single switch or stack ?
from cisco switch cli post below command output :
show version
show power inline (complete)
show run interface x/x (where AP connected and having issue ?)
show interface x/x

Hello,
I tried different ports, all with the same result
It's a single switch.
With a 1100 W power supply, a PoE power of approx. 500W can be used on this switch. If more is required, another power supply must be installed, as stated in the technical documentation from Cisco

Sure we have seen this issue on Cat 3850 - we enabled LLDP to fix the issue.
But cat 9300 we are ok, but good to know.
