Problem With SUP-720-3B

Hi All,

I am facing problem with 7609S redudancy because of one of sup is not booting properly and getting error message in rommon mode,

*** System received a Software forced crash ***

signal= 0x17, code= 0x24, context= 0x4202cf84

PC = 0x401adfb4, Cause = 0x5820, Status Reg = 0x34008002

System Bootstrap, Version 8.4(2) Release

Cat6k-Sup720/SP processor with 524288 Kbytes of main memory,

kindly suggess me ho to trouble shot the same.

Hello Vineet,

if you can (you are not in production) try to power off the chassis remove the working supervisor an try to start with only the troubled one.

Sometimes the problem can be caused by the mate supervisor stopping the second one during boot.

if the problem remains the supervisor has real troubles.
