Hi,
I have a single mode fiber link installed and want to put 24 port switches on either end, it's for a small business linking two buildings.
What options do you have ?
110 VAC powered
19" rack mount
thanks,
brian

Brian, how many strands of fiber are between the buildings? Also, it is obvious that there will over-subscription across the links, but how much is acceptable? In other words, is 4x1Gb Ethernet enough or will 2x10Gb be required? Lastly, are both ends of the link going to be L2 switches or is L3 required?

Hi David,
4x1Gb is more than enough
L2 is fine
I’ll ask about total qty of strands, assumption is there are more than enough.
Thanks,

You could use SG300-28PP-K9-NA ($1,149.00 MSRP) or SG250-26P-K9-NA ($970.00 MSRP). I work for Connection and they have these for about 40-45% less than MSRP and can be ordered online at www.pcconnection.com.
I hope this is helpful.
