QoS configuration on 3850.

Hi Team ,

We have a requirement where we need to increase the file transfer speed between two desktops

Both PCS are connected to Cisco 3850  switch(on diff Vlans)  operating in l3 mode.

It is shared networking and we are copying file from one PC and pasting it to other.

On checking the details on Windows PC , we see transfer speed of 7-9 Mb/s.

We want to increase that speed to 25 Mb/s.

Is it possible to do it by applying QoS on 3850 switch . If yes , what is the configuration and if No , why not ?

You would need to first identify why you're unable to obtain line rate, as a 3850 is generally capable of that. With that in hand, then you can determine whether QoS would assist or not.
