Hello,
Very quick question. If administratively shut down a port-channel does this mean the ports within the etherchannel are effectively shutdown and no traffic will flow over the ports within the etherchannel.
Thanks
Darren

Hello,
Yes, when you shutdown the portchannel interface, you are shutting down the logical interface that represents the etherchannel. So, switch will not forward any traffic to that port.
Hope this helps.

Darren,
If portchannel is down traffic will not flow from one switch to another, but i dont think physical port will go in admin down state.
Hope to Help !!
