"no ip route cache" command

I would like to know whether it is recommended to keep "no ip route cache" command on the core or distribution. What is the performance affect of having this command on these boxes?

IP CEF seems to be the flavor of the decade. I prefer it over fast switching as a lot of features require it. Click that link to determine which type of switching to use.

You should use fast-switching instead of process-switching at all times, if possible.

The performance depends on the box but you will definitely see a decrease.
