Hi all,

I'm configuring vlan on cat2950. i configured the trunk port with the command "switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q" and its giving me the invalid mark at the encapsulation word. The switch is showing that the command does not exist on it. Please can somebody help me out with an explanation to this. NB: the trunk port is connecting to an ethernet port on a microwave radio.

Hi

The 2950 only supports 802.1q trunking so there is no need for the encapsulation command so it is not available.
