Hi There,
I am looking for a stable release, preferably up to date ( 14.4? IOS) version for a 6513 switch running supervisor 720, the aim of the upgrade is to support a WISM card that we are installing, since the current version doesn´t support it. But also I am looking for a stable release that will bring us up to date with our core infrastructure. We run a collapsed Core/distribution in a DC running eigrp,
I would like to know if somebody can have some usefull experience or tips regarding a suitable software image to choose for such an upgrade..the switch runns eigrp, quality of service, some policy routing..sh ver, sh modules below...
Thank you
Martin

There is no 14.0 code for 6500's . All versions are 12.2 versions . Latest are the 12.2 SXH and SXI versions . You will have to use the feature navigator to determine which version bests suites your needs and what version supports a WISM . Also verify you have enough flash and RAM to accomodate the newer versions. The newer versions are a "lot" bigger than the version you are using , some are closing in on 100 meg for file size.

Thanks for your answer, in fact I meant to write 12.4 and not 14.0!!

No 12.4 either only 12.2 versions . I would say go with the other poster and go with a safe harbor version that will support your WISM . Safe harbor testing acceptance usually means it is a stable release version ok to use in almost all circumstances...

You might want to check out the Safe Harbor recommendation page.

I work for an ISP, we've probably got 100 Sup 720's out there running this..
disk0:c7600s72033-advipservicesk9-mz.122-33.SRD4.bin
Do a bug scrub on that, see if there's anything you do with your box that could possibly be affected by known-issues...

If you read the original post correctly, the original poster is using a Catalyst 6500 not 7600. Hence, the SRD code will not work.

jerry
