Hello All,

I have  following configuration on my swtich but i am unable to understande notification-timer 240000 command. Can you please help me to know what deos this do?

redundancy
notification-timer 240000
main-cpu
  auto-sync startup-config
mode sso

Hi Jagdev,

That is how long it takes in milliseconds for for the primary to notify the backup Sup.

Hi Jagdev,

I would not worry about messing with the timers.  Since you are running 2 sups in SSO mode, the fail over is in milliseconds.

If you actually test this when the first Sup fails, you don't even miss a ping before the backup takes over.

As long as one Sup is "Active" and the other one is "Hot", you are good to go.
