Hi, is there a way to remove/delete  the “no platform punt-keepalive disable-kernel-core” “no platform punt-keepalive settings” from my running config without rebooting? I am currently working on 3850, thank you in advance

example below:

no service pad
service tcp-keepalives-in
service tcp-keepalives-out
service timestamps debug datetime msec localtime
show-timezone
service timestamps log datetime msec localtime show-timezone
service password-encryption
service compress-config
no platform punt-keepalive disable-kernel-core
no platform punt-keepalive settings

       - Why do you think it can't be done without rebooting ?

Hello sir,

Because a lot of configs can be removed without rebooting. If rebooting is the only option then you could have stated that. Thanks!

Hello,

you mean remove these two lines from the running configuration so they are not visible anymore ? What you could do is copy the running configuration to the startup configuration, then copy the startup configuration to a TFTP server, edit the text file, remove the lines, copy the startup configuration back to flash with TFTP, and then copy the startup to the running configuration. It sounds a bit complicated, but you are basically just editing a text file.

Hope that makes sense...
