Hey guys,
I have a SG200-50P that I bought used. Yesterday I finally wanted to migrate all of my infrastructure to it. I connected a door phone (Fanvil i10, not that it matters) to it. It powered up (POE) and got an IP. So all working. But it was in the wrong VLAN, so I started playing around (voice VLAN etc.).
The situation now is that this thing is not powering up at all. Similarly, when I plug in a unifi AP, it also does not power up. Both the doorphone and the AP are powering up on a Zyxel switch.
The switch works, the GUI works, VLANs work, everything works, just not POE.
So now the question is: Why did it work? And what does this mean? Is the POE stage of the PSU fried? What should I do now? My next action would be to open this up and measure if I get the -48V of POE on the PCB. Any other things I could try?
One more thing: I did change the fans on this thing. The new fans do not register properly (as in "Fan fail" error). I have never really used this switch after the change (only power it up for a couple mins). The fans spin, but the switch doesn't know that.
Could that be a reason? As in the switch shuts down the POE stage b/c the fans are not working?
Thanks for any comments / solutions.
Best,
Aleksander

There wasn't anything related to that in the logs. There's no CLI on the SG200, so I can't run that command, but the GUI showed 180W available.
I will do some more tests and provide the logs as well Thu/Fri.

Applogies, yes that is lower model, may be turn off switch and turn on - test different ports.
also disable any smart port option.

So... today I came back home. I plugged the switch again into the network and realized I forgot to unplug it from power. I plug in the doorbell and want to make screenshots of the logs. And the doorbell lights up and then boots up. I literally did not change ANYTHING, as I wasn't home...
In case it will fail again, I will come back with screenshots of the logs.
Thanks!
