Replacing dead Catalyst 6509 switch in VSS

Hi there,

I have Core Switches Stacked (VirtualSwitchingSystem) in office's server room. Recently one switch failed due to hardware issue (Cisco Catalyst 6509) with the chassis. I have received the new switch for replacement (same model), wanted to ask, if anyone has experience in replacing a dead core switch within the stack, are there any pre prep before connecting the new switch within the stack or should i just plug it into the stack and the new switch will receive the config automatically?

Thanks,

Uzz
