Hi!:
I've got a Catalyst 3560G, and I want to reset the current index for a DHCP pool. I could remove the leases given for that pool, but I couldn't find this option.
Thanks!

Hi,
to remove the leases:
clear ip dhcp binding *

Yes, and that's something I could do. The problem is the switch doesn't give a recently "unleased" IP.
For example, I've got leased IPs up to 192.168.4.141. When I released all the IPs from the pool, clients who reconnected got IPs from 192.168.4.142 and so on (instead of lower addresses)

Hi,
yes that is how Cisco IOS DHCP service is working, it will start allocating from the first available IP and offer next available IP until it reaches the end of the scope then it will start offering from the first available IP again.
I don't think this behaviour is tweakable.
