Will Resilient Ethernet Protocol (REP) run on all Cisco switches (2960S and 3010) or is it only available on Service Provider switches like the ME3400E?

Hello Greg,

my personal impression is that REP will be supported on SP oriented switches and on industrial ethernet switches.

I'm not a Cisco guy so this is just my idea.

Hope to help

Hello,

REP (Resilient Ethernet Protocol) is supported on:

  • MWR2941
  • ME4900
  • ME3800
  • ME3600
  • ME3400E
  • ME3400
  • IE3010
  • IE3000
  • CAT4948E
  • CAT4948-E-F
  • CAT4948-10GE
  • CAT4948
  • CAT4948-10GE
  • CAT4900M
  • CAT4500E-SUP6L/E
  • CAT4500-SUP5/10GE
  • CAT4500-SUP4
  • CAT4500-SUP2-PLUS-TS/10GE/PLUS
  • CAT3750X
  • CAT3750-METRO
  • CAT3560E
  • CAT3560C405
  • CAT3560C405EX
  • CAT2960C405
  • ASR901
  • 7600-SUP720/SUP32/RSP720/RSP720-10GE

The CAT2960C405 should have 12.2(55)EX1, 2 or 3 to get this feature set. The 2960S is not there in the list, but maybe because its a newer switch, not too sure. The IE3010 is in the list.

Hope this helps
