Router on a Stick Help

Hello, my name is Chris and  I am new to the discussion forums.  I am having trouble pinging pc-pc with my PKT Tracer configuration.  I have searched the forums and instructional vids but just can't seem to get the pc's to communicate.  Can anyone look at this for me?

Hello Christopher,

Welcome to the forum..

Had a look in to your PKT setup,

You just need to "no shut" the physical interface on the router

Router(config)#interface FastEthernet0/1

Router(config-if)#no shutdown

That's it.. everything else is perfect !!

The  thing that gets you here is that, even if you "no shut" all the sub-interfaces they wouldn't have any effect if the physical interface is still shut down..

PS: once you have enabled the physical interface, your sub-interface level "shut/no shut"s will come in to effect
