Router-switch and nexus

I’m a little confuse about cisco nexus and router-switch

Router switch sells the cisco nexus without any cisco essential or advance

My question is Can I use the switch directly without get cisco essentials or advance?

If the answer is yes I able to upgrade the switch ? And I can get support from cisco?

Cisco nexus need basic License, if you looking some advanced features you need License

if not you not able to enable featrures XXX

Not sure what model you buying from the vendor. so look respected model for features and License you required.

And I can get support from cisco?  - yes you can buy the  smartnet from Cisco (if the part of not End of Life)
