Hi,
We have two companies that are located in two separate buildings in the same compound (about 300 meters apart). We are looking at physically interconnecting them but would like to keep their respective traffic separate while allowing access to some applications on either side.
What would be the best router to use for this scenario?
Thanks in advance

Hi Romeo,
The selection depends of the type of traffic generated on your networks, the following link can be used to find a proper router with the desired requirements.

What's the physical topology currently in the two buildings and how much traffic needs to be exchanged between the buildings?
What's the physical medium of the link spanning the buildings?
You might not need two routers, and you might be better off with L3 switches, rather than "routers". Much depends on your answers to the first two questions.

Hi
I agree with Joseph, you also could consider a layer 3 switch, Take in consideration if the companies will growth so it will increase the traffic. You need to verify all the company requirements before to get a device.
This is the link to select a Switch

Also take in consideration the license in order to have specific capabilities LAN Base, IP Base or IP services.
Hope it is useful
