Searching for latest download for WS-C2960CG-8TC-L

Hi,

I have managed to find the file for this switch listed in some of the Cisco release documentation. But for the life of me, I cannot find where to download the software for it. I am looking for the latest version of software that starts with "c2960c405ex" because my switch is a lanbase. But doesn't have the web pages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can also boot with .bin file as suggested, you do not need to remove from switch, just get in to ROMMON boot from TFTP as i suggested method if that works you can install.

I was thinking of making my own tar using the existing firmware and HTML from 2960C

by copying HTML Files that does not work, that packages need to be installed.

Still not going to do it. I prefer to have the correct file and not take chances with the wrong one.

I loaded the non-ex version on the same model of switch.  Don't do it.  It bricks it.  It looks like Cisco has un-published the needed version.

I have the same problem. I want to update my Cisco Catalyst 2960-CG but it is absent in download page. How can I update it? Now my switch runs on 2013 year software.

I tried 2960-C firmware, but my switch freezes when executing it. Now I returned to my old version, which was installed from factory

@TorvaFirmus I wrote to cisco support. They said me that this switch support is out of life and they can't help me. They said that I need to buy new model switch Xd. I found the latest firmware in one of sites in our country where people help each other download cisco firmware. bin file and tar archive I packed to zip because this forum doesn't allow to attach bin file and tar firmware file. These files were downloaded from cisco.com at the 19 november 2021.

I think it is strange that cisco deleted this files from website, but left 2960-c, 2960-cx and others. You can see the latest software version for our switch here in section Table 3 Cisco IOS Software Image Files
