Several Links Into Same interface without sub-interface

on the CCNA workbook website

https://www.freeccnaworkbook.com/workbooks/ccna/configuring-basic-eigrp

the labs  show  sever serial 0/0 interfaces going into the same router (R 1 in this example)

Now when I'm on GNS 3 and trying to establish links between R1 and the rest of the routers I can only establish 1 link per s0/0 interface

In the tutorials the s0/0 int on R1 is not being sub-interfaced, regardless even if it were I wouldn't see if it would make a difference going out to 3 different routers

Is there something I am missing?

Hello,

looks like the interfaces are simply not numbered correctly. Just use Serial0/0, 0/1, and 0/2.

Hello,

looks like the interfaces are simply not numbered correctly. Just use Serial0/0, 0/1, and 0/2.

I will check it out, any more suggestions?

I was thinking this also, that it is not labelled correct, his labs continue this throughout which makes it rather annoying

but as i see the Lab, R1 has only 1 interface configured other Routers  are also in the same subnet, if you use a different interface in R1 ? will that subnet accept , it wont, since it over lap wth S0/0

I tried configuring on different interfaces several times and the only solution that worked was to give it a separate address.

I think this site/tutorial was created for gns 1.3.3, which is as George Pauwen mentioned might involve different Dynamips images. I do know the tutorial has a preloaded topology that does not work with current version of GNS.

I am closing this post.

Hello,

I think @balaji.bandi has a very good point, the IP addresses are overlapping...

I assume you are using the 'old' Dynamips images ? Which one to be exact ?
