Hi all,
I'm trying to connect a 3560 to the 2960G switch by CAB-SFP but the port goes to the err-disabled because of gbic-invalid.
Is anybody have any idea?
thnx

Double check that the 2960 supports the cable.

The gbic has to be a cisco gbic , if not you will get this message.

If you are talking about part number CAB-SFP-50CM=, then this will not work with 2960's. This is an interconnect SFP cable used between the 3560 switches only. You have to use a normal multimode or sigle mode cable depending upon the SFP's used in the switchports to connect the 2 switches.

Try to force the speed n bandwidth manually on the interface connecting 3560 and 2960G dont keep it in AUTO mode.
