What is the exact IOS version the stack is running on?

Where do I find the "Stack" IOS version. I use show ver but don't see any stack reference.

post-show version output here.

#show version

also, post the logs when you insert the SFP on switch1 and switch 2

For clarification you are trying to connect the "SBSG-3850-24" (not a member of a switch stack) to a switch stack via sfp. Are you using Fiber sfps? what kind of switch makes up the three switch stack? are all 4 switches the same model? if yes i would recommend trying to have them on the same Version. also with the show interface status command does the interface not update with an sfp base module in the last column?

Connecting a WS-C3850-24U-L with a C3850-NM-4-10G module installed and a SFP-10G-LR-X transceiver installed to a WS-C3850-24T-E with a C3850-NM-4-10G module and a SFP-10G-LR-X transceiver installed. The later switch switch is 1 of a 3 switch stack that includes 2 WS-C3850-48P switches. All three switches in the stack are running software version 16.3.6. The WS0C3850-24T-E switch is exhibiting the same problems with it's transceiver.
