This is the second time it has happened for one of our clients (2 seperate clients at different sites).
Basically the unit reboots for some unknown reason with a default config. I know the correct config was saved as I could recover from the mirrored copy. after putting it back into layer3 mode.
It's am SG-300-28P POE image version is 1.4.1.3

Hi,
Have you had a look at the hardware manual.
http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/csbms/sf30x_sg30x/quick_start/78-19252-01.pdf
Look at page 14
Returning the Device to the Factory
Default Settings
To use the Reset button to reboot or reset the managed switch, do the
following:
• To reboot the managed switch, press the Reset button for less than 10
seconds.
• To restore the managed switch configuration to the factory default
settings:
1. Disconnect the managed switch from the network or disable all
DHCP servers on your network.
2. With the power on, press-and-hold the Reset button for more than
10 seconds.
Is someone playing around with your switch ?
Regards
Alex
