sg350 interface vlan issues

Manish Manwal

Hi all, I am facing some issues in sg350 and sg300 smb series. Our enterprise switches have management vlan 52 configured. And I want to configure all smb switches management vlan as our enterprise switches (vlan 52). I configured vlan 52 and then put ip address on it. But when I ping it, it is not replying. Only vlan 1 ip address is replying.

THANKS

I am not sure about this particular small business switch but many layer 2 switches want to have only a single layer 3 SVI active. What happens is your shut down interface vlan 1 or remove the IP address from that vlan interface?

Thank you for trying my suggestion of removing the vlan 1 interface and for the output demonstrating that the switch has one interface and that it is up. I am sorry that this did not solve your problem. Can you post the output of show arp (or perhaps show ip arp).

I am not sure if this switch supports CDP but if it does would you post the output of show cdp neighbor detail

Thank you for the additional information. I am somewhat confused about the addressing being used. In an earlier post you indicated that the IP address for vlan 1 was 10.10.10.19. But the interface for vlan 52 is using address 10.10.10.241. How can 2 vlans have addresses in the same subnet? Can you clarify this?

The output of show arp indicates that there is one device that your switch should be able to communicate with. What is the device with IP 10.10.10.24? Can you ping that IP address?

I am glad to see that this switch does support cdp. Can you post the output of show cdp neighbor detail

whatever i post in starting for this they just an example. we are using 10.10.10.0/24 network for management vlan(52). they can ping with each other. but when we ping smb switches by any pc it is not pinging. and same vlan when we pc to enterprise switches its working.
THANKS
MANISH MANWAL
