As title states I recently attempted to upload the firmware and boot loader on my SG500-28P switch. It doesn't work at all anymore. It just boot-loops endlessly. The reset button is ineffective at anytime during the boot and doesn't ever reset the device back to default configuration. The console connection never shows up with with a boot message/menu while looping endlessly.
Things I've tried:
3 different variations of console (serial) cables
2 different SSH tools Putty and Moba (Both programs will open a connection with a blank black screen but there is never a console boot screen like on the device's product page configuration guides. I've tried spamming enter at various points during the boot looping and no menu ever shows up.)
2 different operating systems (Windows, Linux - I even tested the serial connection via terminal commands and it says "connected" from terminal. I'm not experienced with that command so I don't really even know what it is telling me. However nothing shows up in the Putty connection on either OS.)
I'm essentially hoping and asking if there is some alternative way to hardware reset to factory defaults other than the reset button.

connect the console cable and post the Logs to look at what went wrong.
or try to restore the old image with below steps :
In addition to those steps, if this does not resolve, you may have to load the firmware via Hyperterminal using XMODEM if the switch continues to reboot loop.
The entire process will take about 20-25 minutes.
1) To load the firmware via Hyperterminal;
Bits per seconds: 115200
Databits: 8
Partiy: None
Stop bits:1
Flow control: None
2) Reboot the switch, just unplug the power and plug it back in
3) When prompted, press ESC
4)The startup menu will appear, choose option 1 -> Download software
5) On the top of the Hyperterminal, choose the option TRANSFER -> Send File
6) Browse the firmware file and select it
7) Choose protocol-> Xmodem
8) Click send

So I didn't realize this when I quick replied last week but your suggestion implies that I can connect via console. I wouldn't even be asking the question if I could connect via serial directly. I have no access to the switch via serial cable. That is what I already tried as stated in my original question. I get no Cisco boot option or label. No option to press "ESC". No options with digits. Nothing shows up when connected with a serial cable. I have all the Putty info correct and have tried multiple ways to get connected to it.
