Hello, I have an input policy map on my 3850 switch interface gi1/0/1. It is marking all incoming traffic as 'EF'.

My question is, if I run the command ' sh platform qos dscp-cos counters Gi1/0/1' will this reveal the incoming marking taking place by my policy map or does it only show the marking of traffic that has previously been marked elsewhere ?

Thank you.

Hi,

AFAIK,

It shows what DSCP and CoS values have been seen on a port in Ingress and Egress direction. Very useful when you need to confirm if PC or phone is marking packets according to your expectations / design.

you can use show policy-map interface gi1/0/1 to check if any hits are there.
