IOS: c3750e-universalk9-mz.152-1.E.bin
I am trying to setup iptv on a simple network but I am having issues with.
Have attached my config!
My server is connected to port 9 and a stb connected to port 10.
My stb interface is getting flooded.

Hi,
If the IPTV and STB are directly connected to port 9 and 10, you dont need to configure anything. Both ports are in same VLAN, multicast should work. To verify, configure a SPAN port to monitor port 9, make sure IPTV is sending mcast packets, and configure SPAN port to monitor port 10, make sure STB is receiving mcast packets.

I agree with Lei. For a simple topology like this there should be no need for any more configuration.

Why do you say that it is getting flooded? How much multicast are you sending? The port is currently outputing 8.7 Mbit/s of traffic.

Well, I have the same config on another lab environment and it's work fine. The iptv administrator has advise that multicast is not configured properly. What are the steps that can I can use to verify? 8.7Mb? I thought I was 87Mb instead. Can you explain the RP address command? This is just a flat network without extended switches. Do I still need this?
