Hi everyone.
I have a Cisco SF200-24 10/100 Smart Switch that I'm using for my home network. I am getting 300Gbps on my cable internet feed. Once I connected my switch and started using it, my internet feed only allows me about 60, to 65Gbps. How do I setup me switch so I can get full 300Gbps through my switch? I tested the speed "before" the switch and I get the full speed. I'm not a network guy, I just know enough to bet myself in trouble! So, any help would great.
Thanks in advance....
Gary

Hello,
the model you have features 24 10/100 ports, so this is the maximum you will ever get to anything connected to one of those ports. You also have 2 combo mini GBIC ports, which are capable of GigabitEthernet speeds. You probably need an adapter to connect these ports to your PC or laptop.
Either way, you have a 300 (!) Gbps connection ? Or is that 300Mbps ?

if the switch is maximum can go up to Cisco SF200-24 10/100
Maybe you have typed here in terms of connection to give more clarity? what real bandwidth and throughout get ( 300GB and 65GB ?)

If you're using 10/100 ports, you cannot obtain more than 100 Mbps.
When you bypass the switch, likely you have a gig connection.
As to why you're only obtaining 60 to 65 Mbps, well there are lots of possible reasons. Possibly however you're testing ramps up to 100 Mbps, using TCP, then starts to congest and backs off. I.e. how are you "testing" your throughput?
