HI I was working with the SM-ES2-24 Module and found that the ios was corrupted. I uploaded the new ios and was trying to boot it from the new ios.During change the boot system command the command was accepted but during booting, there was an error. and the Module went through rommon mode.
I had no other choice but to use xmodem. during uploading the new image using xmodem the module hanged and I had to restarted the module.
After that I m not being able to upload the new image. Even im not getting the console of the SM-Es2-24 module.
Probably the flash is corrupted. the show inventory shows the Module but CDP neighbors shows no output.
Need a solution for this problem. Can any one please advice ????

I can you you an webex or team viewer session . Would you like to do that ?
No.
After resetting password nothing happens.. Cant login to switch.
Ctrl + Shift + 6 + X takes me back to the router's console
This is correct. This is the intention. Ctrl + Shift + 6 + X is meant to do that. You are suppose to follow the instructions as posted in the link I've provided. Follow the steps:
1. service-module interface slot/port password-reset
2. flash_init
3. control+shift+6 x (Use x to get back to the router prompt.)
4. disconnect
5. copy flash: xmodem: or copy tftp: xmodem:
6. service-module interface slot/port session
7. dir flash:
8. boot flash:image
You are now in Step 3. Proceed with Step 4.

The system has been interrupted prior to initializing the

This "switch:" doesnt appear:
The above information was found in your given link

Then RMA the module.
Upper right-hand corner will give you the opportunity to raise a Cisco TAC Case based on this thread. The TAC Engineer will read this thread and will make additional recommenation (if required).
