                   Hi

                    We are unable to configure snmp v3 on the above.

                    Does anyone have a proper idiots guide for this ?

                    When adding a user there is no otion to add a "priv" level and I think this is why it doesnt work ?

                    snmp-server user ITOPS_IS NETMON v3 "(access)(auth)(encrypted)"   

                    snmp-server user ITOPS_IS NETMON v3 auth sha  Thissucks! (access)

Please help, this is so damned annoying .

Hi,

Below config worked for me (currently used).

snmp-server group TEST v3 auth read XYZ notify XYZ

snmp-server view XYZ iso included

snmp-server user USER1 TEST v3 auth sha priv aes 128

snmp-server host version 3 auth USER1

Thats what I have been trying but do not get the "priv" option when adding the user.

I guess you already created group. View also enabled? Not sure, if this is mandatory. Its been long time since I set this up and I remember doing some back and forth testing with settings.
