Software Image

Hello everyone,

I am about to upgrade our 3400 switches from me340x-metroipaccessk9-mz.122-50.SE1 to me340x-metroipaccessk9-tar.122-60.EZ9.  Besides checking for enough space, what is the best procedure to do this? Any help would be appreciated.

Check the memory requirements as well.

Haven't used these switches but have you seen this link which goes through the upgrade procedure -

Thanks Jon, also, can you use a purchased ios image on multiple devices as far as upgrading goes or is it just specifically for that device.  I think I know the answer to this but I just wanted to ask.

It's been a while since I was involved with this sort of thing but as far as I know it is tied to the device ie. when you buy the hardware the software and license comes with it so when you upgrade it is done on a per device basis. 

Could be mistaken but that is how I remember it.
