Hello everybody,
we have ~1000 catalyst switches in our network which are operated by 4 people.
We use a template to deploy switches but I´m searching for a Software that helps me to ensure that the configuration is compliant .
For example I want to know if aaa configuration equals on all switches the configuration I expect.
Do you have any idea ?
How do you ensure configuration compliance ?
Best regards,
Steffen

Hi,
If you want to compare text from different switches, and to make sure they are all configured the same, you can use:

That was not what I meant
I want to have a tool that compares text (configuration template) with the configuration of all 1000 switches automatically.
So for example I want to know if everyhere the SVI´s are configured correct in respect to our template but it should not consider the IP as the IP is variable and differs from switch to switch.
Best regards,
Steffen

How about Ultracompare?
It is not free, but you can probably test-drive it for 30 days.

I was thinking of Cisco NSO which can ensure configuration compliance, but it can do so much more for a network of your size.
Cisco NSO is an orchestration application which interacts with higher level network management/service management applications and delivers changes to network devices through an abstraction layer to support multiple vendors and multiple technology domains.

You could look at Chef software. They have an open-source version, and other paid versions if you like it.
