Hello,
I'm interested to buy SPA-8X1FE-TX-V2 module in a 7604 with supervisor 32 but i'd like to know if it's possible to use etherchannel on those ports.
Anyone has tried that before? I didn't find any docs about that.
thanks,
Milko

Hello Milko,
SPA modules are for WAN usage like running MPLS or other router features
And you need a SIP linecard in the chassis to use it.
Using them for building a port-channel can be a waste of resources: if you have already a SIP linecard with an empty SPA slot then it can be considered.
Use the following link to config guide of SIP/SPA
the answer looks like to be negative:
EtherChannel is only supported on the 10-Port Gigabit Ethernet SPA and the 1-Port 10-Gigabit Ethernet SPA on the Cisco 7600 SIP-600. EtherChannel is not supported on the 2-Port Gigabit Ethernet SPA on the Cisco 7600 SIP-400 or on a Fast Ethernet SPA on the Cisco 7600 SIP-200.
see
If you have a SIP200 it is not possible to config etherchannel
Hope to help
Giuseppe
