SSH cisco catalyst Switch over internet

I have connected a Cisco Catalyst Switch to a Verizon Fios Router and have enabled Port forwarding on the Verizon router. I can ssh into the swith within the LAN but not Over the Internet. I need step by step guide to eastablish a ssh connection to a switch over Internet. I am a newbie. Your help is really appreciated and any insight will be really helpful

when I am connecting the devices to the switch. I am able to browse the internet successfully and I have also enbled port forwarding on my verizon router, still not able to SSH into the switch from outside the LAN.

You need to have port forward allowed on Verizon router to get access to switch port 22.

Port forwarding is done, keeping port 22 open on verizon router. still not able to access the switch from outside the lan

Can you post the switch config? and give information about what is the outside interface towards Internet facing.
