Hi All,
These are the observation.
1.Stack port is showng down.It menans that stack cable is problem or not.
2.One Stack cable is used for connection between two switches.
Is it OK?
3.Priorit also changed still both are showing master and its not showing as singke switch

Can you chnage the stack cable between the switches and verify?
Try moving the stack cables to different port and check the status.
If the stack is not working then both the switches will see themselves as master

Hi,
1. Check with another cable on the same port in that two switch.
2. No, Two stack cables are needed for the Stack membership(2 switches- Mas & Slave)
3. After done with this first reload the Master switch & then Slave and in global mode "switch stack-member-number priority priority-number"

Hi,
You need 2 Stackcables. 1 from SW1 Port1 to SW2 port 2 and the other von SW1 Port2 to SW2 Port1.
Switch on the first switch and wait for this one to come up (Take a few minutes).
Than switch on the next one.
Then do a "show switch detail" and you shout see something like this (The priority will be default 1 on all switches):
chspn189#sh switch detail
Switch/Stack Mac Address : 0023.348f.9a80
H/W Current
Switch# Role Mac Address Priority Version State
----------------------------------------------------------
*1 Master 0023.348f.9a80 10 1 Ready
2 Member 0023.348f.9100 1 1 Ready
Stack Port Status Neighbors
Switch# Port 1 Port 2 Port 1 Port 2
--------------------------------------------------------
1 Ok Ok 2 2
2 Ok Ok 1 1
chspn189#
Also take a look in the Logging
"show logging" shows you like this:
*Mar 1 01:12:17: %STACKMGR-4-STACK_LINK_CHANGE: Stack Port 1 Switch 1 has changed to state UP
*Mar 1 01:12:17: %STACKMGR-4-STACK_LINK_CHANGE: Stack Port 2 Switch 1 has changed to state UP
*Mar 1 01:12:36: %STACKMGR-4-SWITCH_ADDED: Switch 2 has been ADDED to the stack
*Mar 1 01:12:47: %STACKMGR-5-SWITCH_READY: Switch 2 is READY
*Mar 1 01:12:47: %STACKMGR-4-STACK_LINK_CHANGE: Stack Port 1 Switch 2 has changed to state UP
*Mar 1 01:12:47: %STACKMGR-4-STACK_LINK_CHANGE: Stack Port 2 Switch 2 has changed to state UP
00:00:12: %SYS-3-HARIKARI: Process DL Image Post Init Msg top-level routine exited (Switch-2)
00:00:23: %SYS-3-HARIKARI: Process DL Image Post Init Msg top-level routine exited (Switch-2)
00:00:45: %STACKMGR-4-SWITCH_ADDED: Switch 1 has been ADDED to the stack (chspn189-2)
00:00:45: %STACKMGR-4-SWITCH_ADDED: Switch 2 has been ADDED to the stack (chspn189-2)
Let the Stack run for half a day and take another look in the Logging. There shout no other STACK-CHANGE in there as the ones after switch-on.
Please post your "show switch detail"
thanks

1.Stack port is showng down.It menans that stack cable is problem or not.
Use any other working cable between the switches or use this cable with the working switch.
2.One Stack cable is used for connection between two switches.
Is it OK?
you could use 1 connection but then the throughput for the stack will be half 16Mp
if you use 2 it will be 32Mp.
3.Priorit also changed still both are showing master and its not showing as singke switch .
Since there is no physical layer connectivity between the switch they are acting as individual switch ans so master.
