Hi all,
Okay so I have the following problem. I have a stack. Member 1 - 2960-S and member 2 is a 2960-X. Originally I had all ethernet cables plugged into member 1. This evening member 1 failed so I removed all the ethernet cables and plugged them into member 2 (including port channel to the core). So connectivity is restored now.
I want to remove member 1 now and replace it with a 2960-X that I am busy prepping as we speak. What is the best way to do this and would I loose connectivity? I am concerned about down time.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Follow this link to add the new switch to the stack
Before connecting the new switch to the stack, make sure it is turned off.
