all depends on the switch type and platform

not a good idea by the way for the price of an extra stack cable , no resiliency

Stacking is possible, you won't get as expected ring bandwidth. if this is a normal environment and downtime accepted (that is ok)

if this critical ( spend few quids save lot time and loss)
