Stacking VS HSRP

Hello,

when we want to make redundancy in a network, which is a best practice between stacking and redundancy protocol such as HSRP? and which provide better cost between them?

I wanna know, if we can make link aggregation with another vendor device such as fortigate of fortinet?

Hi,

As long as the Fortinet device support LACP (which they do) you can connect yourr Fortinet to 2 or more 3750s stacked.  If you don't stack them and use HSRP, than you can't connect one Fortinet to 2 3750s.
