Hello
I had some true and false question that I was hoping to get an answer by posting my question in cisco forum.
Router Configuration
line VTY 0 4
password cisco
no login
1. Telenet connections to this router is possible (T/F) Brief explanation please
Switch Configuration:
host name cisco
password “5″ (enable secret password)
Line VTY 0 4
password cisco
login local
line VTY 5-15
password cisco
login local
exit
2. Telenet connections are possible to this switch
3. What difference does login local make and how many VTY connections can be made from the configuration that is shown?

1) True. no login means, dont ask for authentication (username/password) just let the user in.
2) True
3) Login local means, you will be prompted for username/password, so you must have username/password configured on device. On switch total 16 connections can be made

Thanks so much John and Mahmood, Although I have a question for mahmoodmkl, Why wouldn't user be prompted for password for the first 5 VTY connections but user and pass for the 5-16?
