Hello,
I just need a refresher here, I have a few PC plugged in to a switch and when I do show mac-address-table some ports are dynamic and some are static, why are some static?
I have this configured on all ports:
switchport mode access
switchport port-security
switchport port-security aging time 1
switchport port-security aging type inactivity
spanning-tree portfast
spanning-tree bpduguard enable
What makes one port dynamic and one static as the ports are configured the same?
Thanks

What is the MAC entry on the static? Sometimes the statics are HSRP MAC addresses and others are used for IPv6 multicast.
You can check HSRP with sh standby vlan x and look at the MAC address to see if it matches the static entry.
The IPv6 multicast start with 3333.
