Storm Control question

Hi,

I can set a Storm Control on Switch > Switch Settings and the rules.

I also can switch on Storm Control on the switchports MS210, MS225 etc. (enabled / disabled).

Does anybody know if there is an relationship?

Does the rules only work when I switch on the Storm Control on the ports?

Thank you.

When you add at least one rule in the "Switch settings" rules, then the per port enable/disable option becomes available. Basically it allows you to make exceptions to the general storm control rules for specific ports.

It isn't supported on the MS120. See the datasheet:

It's worth noting that there's a basic level of storm control present on all Meraki switches. The configurable version is only available on firmware versions 10.0 and higher, but not available on the 120 line.

BrechtSchamp was right.

I checked it out:

Based on MS11.22 firmware; MS225, MS210 switches:

First you have to enable Storm Control in "switch" -> "switch settings" by adding a rule.

Then you have an additional "Storm Control" setting in the switchports (not on the MS120 and MS220 switches!)

best regards.
