Hi,
I have a storm control configured on an interface of a cisco switch
I would like to test if that feature works or not.
Is there a free tool or traffic generator software I can use/install on my laptop and plug my laptop on that interface and sends out broadcast/multicast packets and see if its working?

Hi,
You can use the Ping tool.

Hi,
Try using hping2 where you can create any packet and send with a custom rate.
Best regards,
Andras

You can use tools such as ping, hping and sendip that are available for free on the Internet, with very detailed documentation to craft any kind of packet.
Cheers
