I'd like to know how STP failover works in this scenario:
Network:
2 core switches, direct links between switches. Core1 is primary for vlan 5 and core2 is primary for vlan 10.
3 closet switches, connected using uplinkfast to both core switches.
1 device on vlan 5 is plugged into core1 and another device on vlan 10 is plugged into core2.
Scenario:
Direct links between the core switches go offline, switches are still up. Will the connection between the 2 devices break? Do the core switches reroute traffic between vlans' via the closet switches?
(Yes I do realize end devices should not be on core switches but that is not always possible)
