Hello,
does the catalyst 6506-E with 15.1(2)SY7 (VS-SUP2T-10G) support only MSTP and Rapid-STP?
When I configure the STP mode I have only two choices:
switch(config)#spanning-tree mode ?
mst Multiple spanning tree mode
rapid-pvst Per-Vlan rapid spanning tree mode
Is it real?
In my network there are switches (HP GbE2c blade) that do not support rapid-pvst.
I need to configure PVST on catalyst.
How can I do this?
Thank you very much
Giorgio

Yes that's correct that's what they support same on my VSS and standalone devices running v15 with Sup2Ts its the default now
xxxxxxxx#sh spanning-tree summary
Switch is in rapid-pvst mode
show spanning-tree summary will show you whats currently running , you could change it all to MST both support that
This has examples of HP and Cisco running MST together
