hi every body!
I have this simple question
let say we have three switches : sw1,sw2 and sw3.
sw 1 is root switch. They are connected serially.
c=1 c=1
(sw3) f0/2---- f0/2(sw2) f0/1-- f0/1 (sw1)
where "c" represents path cost
sw2 has f0/1 as root port
what would be f0/2 port of sw2 and f0/2 port of sw3 i.e designated port,blocked port,?
thanks alot !

what would be f0/2 port of sw2
Designated Port
and f0/1 port of sw3 i.e
Root Port.
SW3 sees SW2 on F0/1 as the path towards the root hence the port connected towards SW2 will be the root port.
SW2 will be the designated port on F0/2 as it has a path towards the root (transit switch).
SW1 will have a designated port on F0/1 and SW2 will have a root port on F0/1
