Sub-interface limitations on Nexus 9K

I'm configuring some Nexus 9372PXs running 6.1(2)I3(2). The 6.X configuration guide clearly states that I can create L3 sub-interfaces using the range 1-4094. However, when I attempt to do so, I appear to be getting a limit of 1-511. What am I missing here?

n9372px(config-if)# int eth1/7.?
<1-511>  Sub-Interface number (<1-63> for SI on satellite port)

Hello @TIMOTHY SCHWIMER

It looks like this is related with a software bug (CSCux11016) that is hitting to the version 7.0.3 and it's possible that was not detected on release 6.1. If you need subinterfaces greater than 511, as workaround Cisco recommends to create a port-channel, so you may bind the physical interface to it and create subinterfaces under de port-channel. You may create port-channels with one single link.

I got the same issue running nxos.7.0.3.I5.2.bin, upgraded to nxos.7.0.3.I7.9.bin.

Still the same issue.

Port-channel is working fine.
